We offer Trail Hike Regular Sessions every SPRING and every FALL.

PLUS - We also are offering something new - a Spring BUILD TO 25km Trail Adventure Series and Fall BUILD TO 15km Trail Hike Adventure Series. Check these new offerings out below.

For the Trail Hike Regular Session it is social, fun and at your pace. These Tuesday class sessions are super popular with 20 + people joining each session for over the past 5 years. Join us on an adventure in the woods to sweat out the stress of everyday life and be surrounded by nature, fresh air and great company! All paces welcome and encouraged so do not let your fears stop you!

SPRING 2025 TRAIL HIKE REGULAR SESSION

We are excited for the Spring Hike Session 2025. Join us for a power hike, gentle hike or saunter depending on the week.

The session will be 7 weeks long BUT you can decide in advance to only do 5 or 6 of the classes, paying a pro-rated fee. Flexibly at its finest! Just tell us in advance how many, but there is need to tell us exact dates, just show up to your allotted amount.

INFORMATION:

 Date: Tuesdays starting May 6th - June 17th (7 week series)

Time: 6:00 – 7:00pm

Investment: $125 + hst

Format for Hiking Group

  • Hike at your pace for 55 minutes with warm up and cool down. Hiking with the focus of getting your heart rate up and moving your body at a comfortable but challenging pace. The class will divide into 2 -3 groups naturally to accommodate various speeds and will cover 3 – 5km each week. All levels welcome. At your own pace – always! We have lots of leads to allow you to go at your own pace. Power Hike, Hike, Walk or Saunter deepening on what your day was like. No pressure to perform. Sweat to your own tune!

  • We will start mostly near Vicki Tree Wellness. Each Sunday, should our location slightly change, we will email you that evening for the following Tuesday. 

  • Should you only be able to commit 5 or 6 classes of the 7 week session, and it is prior to session starting, email us for the code for the pro-rated date (wellness@vickitree.com)

  • Drop-in spots will be available if room at $20 per night in case you want to bring a friend occasionally.

  • Given space is limited, there are no credits/transfers or make-ups for classes missed Thank you for your understanding.

  • We also have a Restorative Class (by Steph) starting at 7:15pm each Tuesday that may be a nice compliment for your hike night. You can book this class online each week if you feel up to it! 

BUILD TO 25 KM or BUILD TO 15km TRAIL HIKE ADVENTURE SERIES

We are excited to announce this special adventure offering with Virginia. There will be a Build to 25km every SPRING and a Build to 15km every FALL.

This adventure is designed for a very small groups of committed humans will be working together for set out plan of many weeks of building to a 25km or 15km trail hike adventure point to point in Collingwood area on the Bruce Trail. We will start with one hour and build each week from there.

SPRING 2025 Build to 25km Trail Hike Adventure

Date: Wed morning starting end of April - End of June (10 week series), then 2 weeks taper with final 25km on Saturday July 12th

Time: 6:30am (start with one hour, and build on time each week until we work up to 4.5 hrs)

Location: Near Vicki Tree Wellness studio 3626 Line 5 North

Basic Layout + Requirements:

  • Must be able to hike 1 hour on trail at a regular pace in order to register.

  • Start is last week of April for 10 weeks, then taper weeks, then finale of final 25 km Point to Point is Saturday July 10th at 6:30am

  • Must be committed to every long hike together (with only missing one max)

  • Team mentality and positive outlook of being in the woods and testing your endurance and mind.

  • Every Tuesday or Wed at 6:30am starting with 1 hour and adding time each week building up to 4 hours so longest days are mid June (Tues or Wed to be determined based on interest)

  • Total of three online 30 minute Team Meeting in evening to discuss nutrients, water, pacing over duration of 10 weeks.Final hike is expected to be 4-6 hours.Location is near Vicki Tree for training to keep our life simple.

  • Full information with fee and calendar of dates will be emailed for those interested and that are good candidates for such adventure (motivated, committed, passionate and ready to rumble!)

  • YOUR COMMITMENT: Each week we will do our long hike together, and then you are responsible for the other two smaller walks or cardio on your own. Totally doable to still juggle your own lifestyle of work and family.

FALL 2025 Build to 15km Trail Hike Adventure

Dates: Wed morning for 7 weeks (August 27th – October 8th + Saturday Oct 18th for FINAL)

Time: 7:30am in Horseshoe Area near Vicki Tree (build time each week)

FINAL 15km HIKE: Sat Oct 18th (3.5 – 4.5 hours) in Collingwood area Bruce Trail

Time Commitment Expectation:

  • Total Hrs Group Hiking: once a week together as a group (14 hrs training together, plus 3.5 – 4.5 hrs for final 15km hike together = 18.5 hrs)

  • Total Hrs Online Meeting: three 45 minute online Teams Conference Calls

  • Total hrs on your own hiking/cardio: two mini cardio on your own each week (either small hikes or cardio of choice, one 30 minute, one 60 minute)

Investment: $325 +hst (for 20hrs of in person session including final hike point to point plus education on pacing, fueling + learning to like cardio)

Lead: Virginia, Kelley or Vickie (two leads each week)

Intensity: 2/4 at moderate, medium pace

Pacing Level: Moderate with two different pacing options
