Fall Co-Ed Workshop
“Authentically You” Fall Co-Ed Workshop
Cultivate your BEST SELF: physically, mentally and emotionally
This powerful one day workshop will educate and empower girls and boys age 7-9 years old to love themselves exactly as they are! They will be guided through wellness/nutrition workshops, fitness adventure and self esteem building activities.
At this tender age, it is crucial to focus on how our words and actions affect others. Children are just beginning to learn how much their actions can poke holes in other people’s self esteem. Building their own self esteem is also critical as they begin to worry about what other people think. It is for these reasons why we focus on how being different, unique and true to oneself is a beautiful thing! Respecting other people’s right to be themselves – just they way they are – is equally important too.
This workshop is developed and facilitated by Virginia Gingras and Andrea LaMantia. Both instructors are veteran athletes, school teachers (combined experience of 22 years) and passionate advocates for Positive Mental Health. To learn more about these instructors and their backgrounds please click on their names.
Children are welcome to come with a friend or by themselves (which is encouraged as this workshop is to work on themselves). Moving their bodies, challenging their negative self talk and being proud of who they are, just as they are is the main focus !
